Desert Elite Basketball holds tryouts for competitive teams each August. View our tryouts page for Dates, Times and Locations. Multiple teams may be formed in some age groups provided there is sufficient interest and players can be added throughout the year as team availability permits. Desert Elite Facts
- Teams for Boys and Girls in Grades 4 through 12
- Coaches are part of Desert Elite Staff and are not volunteers. Our great coaches are knowledgeable, positive, encouraging and great teachers of basketball
- Teams practice twice each week (M-F)
- Practices focus on player development and player skills improvement
- Practices are held inside at local gyms. Typically, practices are held at Bella Vista (the old Desert Arroyo Middle School) or Sonoran Trails Middle School
- Desert Elite Competitive teams will provide opportunities for players to play in competitive leagues and tournaments throughout Arizona and possible regional and national tournaments.
- DFAC Basketball has been serving the youth in the North Phoenix area since 1997 and run competitive programs since 2001.
- DFAC Basketball and Desert Elite Competitive program are recognized across Arizona as one of the most stable and well-balanced programs in the state.
- Desert Elite is very well organized and has great leadership and communications throughout the program.
